14 Apr 2010 - The combined operating revenue of the top 50 fast food companies in China reached RMB 59.88 billion last year, according to statistics recently released by the China Cuisine Association.

The combined operating revenue of the top 50 fast food companies in China reached RMB 59.88 billion last year, according to statistics recently released by the China Cuisine Association. About 58% of the 50 companies each booked an operating revenue of RMB 300 million last year, while about 32% of 50 companies saw revenue exceed RMB 500 million, said the association, without giving any comparative figures. The 50 firms had a total of 12,932 outlets at the end of last year. The top ten fast food firms realized a combined operating revenue of RMB 47.19 billion, which accounted for 78.8% of the total of all 50 companies. The operating revenue of the China Division of Yum! Brands Inc, which owns well-known brands KFC and Pizza Hut, ranked first, while that of McDonald's China ranked second.
